Bhakti Lalita Devi Dasi: Dandavats!

Yuvati Devi Dasi: Dandavat. Bhakti Lalita Devi Dasi ki jay!

Bhakti Lalita Devi Dasi: Welcome! Nice to see you. Where’s Milo?

Devotee: Milo is somewhere.

Bhakti Lalita Devi Dasi: Milo is running around.

Devotee: How was the trip?

Bhakti Lalita Devi Dasi: Oh, it was wonderful! Ten very exciting happy days, happy Chinese devotees. Our mission there is growing and flourishing.

Bhakti Lalita Devi Dasi: So, rainy monsoons, late spring evening. Waiting for Goswami Maharaj, just coming back from Laos (visa run). So, any minute now he is coming. And the umbrella is ready. And Milo… get ready... Just stay tuned.

#00:03:08#

Bhakti Lalita Devi Dasi: Dandavat!

Goswami Maharaj: Dandavat!

Shyam Madhav Prabhu: Jay Srila Bhakti Sudhir Goswami Maharaj ki jay!

Goswami Maharaj: Jay Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj ki jay! [To Milo:] Hare Krishna! [Unclear] Vietnam everything was Chinese. But Lao, it just looks like Thailand. Right now, it is developed as Thailand materially.

What’s the proper vision of seeing the world? That’s is full of suffering, based upon birth, death, old age, disease. I understand a little bit about old age. It’s one of the four. We think, “Oh, yeah, death.” Well, it’s saying, “Birth, death, old age, disease.” They’re all have parity in terms of suffering.

#00:04:05#

Oh, as you get older, dwindling and energy, your battery doesn’t fully charge, you could say. When you’re young, you do that the eight-hour charge to get a hundred percent. You get older, [you] do the eight-hour charge, you’re getting sixty percent, fifty, forty, thirty, twenty.

#00:04:26#

Gurudev said… At the end once they [doctors] tested him for everything. And they said, all of his vitals everything was good, and that made him totally depressed. And I couldn’t understand, why.

#00:04:41#

And he said, “Because if something was wrong, then I could treat it.” He said, “But that they’re telling me, nothing’s wrong with me,” he said, “then I can understand, I’m just losing my vitality and leaving the world.” He wanted something to be wrong, thinking, “Oh, then we could address that with some medicine or something.” They said, “No, you’re fine.” He went, “Oh, I’m leaving.”

These are my themes, now old age, and I’m sure, disease is gonna be next way. [Laughs.]

#00:05:15#

When I exhaust those three, then I’ll talk about birth. [Laughs.] Well, the news, everything you read, the news, it’s depressing, because it’s all, it’s death reminders like to the extreme. People losing it and killing other people senselessly. All ego, ego-driven death giving producing madness. We’re already living in the world of mortality. And then people complaining about it not being a happy place. [Laughs.] I carry now on my iPad the picture of the water under lily.

#00:06:04#

… kamala-dala-jala, jīvana ṭalamala …

That vision of the ball [of water] on the leaf, the waterball, the water-jal. Unexpectedly without any advance notice, it just rolls off. That’s what Govinda Das is talking about in that song.

#00:06:27#

One of our life-member, like life member, in Calcutta has his real … they call him another name, but its actual name is Mrityujoy. Means one who conquers over death. He hasn’t totally other name, but you know, but his original name is Mrityujoy. Ajita. And I’m horrified to think that Shukadev tells Parikshit Maharaj that being afraid of dying is like being an animal on his standard.

#00:07:10#

tvaṁ tu rājan mariṣyeti, paśu-buddhim imāṁ jahi …

To be afraid of dying [is] as paśu-buddhi, animal intelligence.
